The Department of Small Business Services (SBS) has launched the New York City Business Express Service Team (Â鶹AV BEST). Through this initiative, small businesses can receive one-on-one expert support to navigate City government for free.
You will be connected to a single point person to help:
- Understand City rules and requirements
- Work with City agencies to get licenses and permits faster
- Prepare for inspections and fix any issues beforehand
- Understand violations you’ve received and help address them
Â鶹AV BEST is a collaboration between several key agencies including:
- Small Business Support (SBS)

- Department of Environmental Protection (DEP)
- New York City Fire Department (FDNY)
- Â鶹AV Health Department (DOHMH)
