Âé¶¹AVHA may require fees or charges for: 

  • Parking 
  • The use of heavy-duty appliances, such as air conditioners or washing machines 
  • Labor, materials, and equipment costs for the repair of damages caused by residents
  • Key or lock replacement

A 20 percent discount for parking and appliance surcharge fees will be given to 82 percent of Âé¶¹AVHA residents, specifically senior citizens, the disabled, and residents who pay less than ceiling rent.

Please visit your Property Management Office or Âé¶¹AVHA Borough Management Office.

Before installing any major appliance, such as air conditioners, freezers, dishwashers, and washing machines, Âé¶¹AVHA residents must obtain written permission from their Property Management Office.

The Property Management Office will advise regarding installation and charges for additional consumption of electricity and water.

Âé¶¹AVHA issues parking permits for vehicles in Âé¶¹AVHA Parking Lots. 

Annual parking fees for non-reserved parking spots are:

  • $60 for disabled residents, senior residents, and residents paying discounted rent
  • $75 for residents paying non-discounted rent
  • Nonresidents: Queens $1200, Brooklyn or Bronx $1080 (not available in Manhattan and Staten Island)

Reserved Space

If you have a reserved space in a Âé¶¹AVHA Parking Lot that is occupied by an unauthorized vehicle, you can contact the Development Property Manager during business hours to initiate towing.  You may also contact Âé¶¹AVHA’s Unauthorized Vehicle Line to report the incident.

Missing Vehicle

If your vehicle was parked in a Âé¶¹AVHA Parking Lot and is now missing, you can check with the Development Property Manager for a daily report of vehicles that have been towed from the lots at the development.

Check with the Property Manager to confirm, then contact the Development's towing company for more information on how to retrieve your vehicle. The towing company information is also posted on signs around the parking lot.

Private Management Âé¶¹AVHA Buildings

Some Âé¶¹AVHA buildings are under private management.

Residents of these buildings should report issues to their management company.
